Sears Home Improvement Products, a national leader in vinyl siding, custom windows, entry & garage doors, kitchen remodeling, cabinet refacing and heating & cooling products is looking for a Project Consultant The Project Consultant is responsible to the Field Sales Manager/District Sales Manager for covering assigned pre-set sales appointments during scheduled appointment time frames. This is to include a full in-home product presentation to the consumer utilizing the complete ten-step selling plan in order to achieve required sit ratios and conversion percentages. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: - Product Presentation: responsible for presenting the company's products and features while complying with required style, size and price criteria. Such presentations are to be in conformance with the established guidelines of SHIPS SOP's and Sears' ethical business practices. - Company Selling Plan: responsible for adherence to the company's ten-step selling plan so it reflects the needs of the consumer while at the same time builds a quality commission sale designed to enhance the potential for a mutually beneficent transaction. - Lead Disposition: responsible for turning in accurate lead dispositions to sales management (all leads previously assigned to him/her). - Sit Ratios: responsible for maintaining the company's required sit ratios for in-home sales presentations in order to maximize the potential for conversion to net sales. - Close Conversion: responsible for maintaining the desired close conversion percentage as required to maximize sales potential. - Contract Completion: responsible to insure all contracts are complete with respect to required documentation and are legible and accurate. The incumbent insures that the consumer understands the contract and confirms that all pertinent elements have been reduced to writing. - Responsible to self-generate additional revenue as directed by unit management by utilizing the net installed report and through add-ons, referrals and canvassing. - Perform related duties as required. Education/Training: - High School Education or equivalent preferred. Experience: - Must possess valid driver's license and vehicle insurance - Computer proficiency required - Flexibility to work all days including Sundays Role specific abilities/skills: - Ability to negotiate contracts and communicate effectively both orally and in writing. - The position requires the incumbent be able to communicate clearly and effectively with associates, managers and consumers. - At all times cognizant of responsibility to represent the company in a business-like and professional manner, which shall include conformance to the Code of Conduct and Sears Ethical Business practices. - Ability to lift and carry product sample display cases. Occasional listing of sample cases that individually do not exceed 40 lbs. Depending upon product, sample case weight can range from 5lbs to 40lbs. - Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, twisting, reaching and climbing. - Ability to drive on average of 750 miles a week. Some markets driving requirements can be in excess of this or may be less than this based upon business need. - Ability to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time and in various demographic areas. - Must be able to access interior and exterior landscapes. - Ability to access different levels of terrain while performing duties. - Ability to work hours that can shift into evening time periods.
